PROSPECTUS & ADMISSION NOTICE 2025-26

Welcome to Loyola School. Here is all the information you would like to have about our Pre-KG, LKG, UKG and Classes I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII & VIII admissions.

LOYOLA SCHOOL, KALINGANAGAR, promoted by TATA STEEL, is a new venture of the Jesuit Fathers of Jamshedpur Province who run many reputed institutions like XLRI, Jamshedpur, Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIM), Xavier University, Loyola School, Jamshedpur, Loyola School, Bhubaneswar, St. Xavier’s Chaibasa, Xavier’s Gamharia and the nine De Nobili Schools in the Districts of Dhanbad and Bokaro in Jharkhand. While preparing the students for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ICSE, 10th) and the Indian School Certificate Examination (ISC, 12th), we aim at the all-round development of our students. In this noble task the Jesuit Fathers are assisted by a team of very dedicated and competent staff, teaching and non- teaching. The active participation and co-operation of the parents in this effort is essential for success.

ADMISSIONS OPEN: PRE KG, LKG, UKG, STD. 1-VIII

ADMISSION FORM:

Application forms are available for Pre-KG, LKG, UKG and Std. I-VIII. These may be collected from the school office from 9 th December 2024 between 9.00 am and12.00 noon on payment of Rs. 200/-. Kindly read the Application form very carefully before you fill-in the details. All entries must be made in CAPITAL LETTERS.

AGE REQUIREMENTS:

SUBMISSION OF FILLED-IN ADMISSION FORMS:

• Application form must be complete in every detail with all information. Necessary documents must be attached while submitting the filled-in forms. Incomplete forms will be rejected after scrutiny.
• The filled-in application form is to be submitted in the school office by January 6 th & 7 th , 2025 between 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. by hand, and not by post.

IMPORTANT FOR LKG:

• 1. Birth Certificate: From Municipality/ Notified Area Committee/ Office of the Registrar of Birth and Death or Certificate of Baptism (if the child is a Christian) should be brought.
• 2. Court affidavit, horoscope or hospital/clinic certificate will not be accepted. However, a photocopy of hospital certificate or immunization card could be attached to the application form as an additional proof of the date of birth.
• 3. It is the responsibility of the parents to enter the correct name and date of birth of the child in the application form. No alteration of either the name or the date of birth will be permitted at any time after the admission.
• 4. A photo copy of the birth certificate should be attached to the application form for our records. The original certificate should be brought along for verification at the time of registration.
• 5. Photo: a recent B2/ATM card size photograph of both the parents with the child in between must be affixed on the application form.
• 6. If any of the above requirements is not fulfilled, the application form will be rejected.

IMPORTANT FOR CLASSES UKG, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8:

• 1. Birth Certificate: All the details as mentioned above for candidates applying for LKG.
• 2. Transfer certificate: From the school the candidate has been attending.
• 3. Photo: A recent passport size photograph of the candidate should be affixed on the application form.

INTERACTIVE SESSION WITH PARENTS AND CANDIDATES OF UKG:

• 1. There will be an interactive session / interview with the Parents of selected candidates to understand the background of the child.
• 2. The child must be able to identify objects used in daily life such as: flowers, fruits and colours, numbers etc.
• 3. Date & time: the school office will communicate to the parents over the phone the date and time of the interactive session

REQUIREMENTS FOR UKG:

• 1.There will be written tests for English and Mathematics.
• 2.The child should be able to:  
  • Understand, identify, and speak simple English
  • Differentiate between colours
  • Read and write simple ordinary words and sentences
  • Count and write numbers from 1 to 100
  • Count numbers forward and backward
  • Express numbers before and after
  • Distinguish between greater and smaller

REQUIREMENTS FOR CLASSES I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII & VIII:

• 1. There will be written tests for English and Mathematics.
• 2. The subject matter of the test for Class I will be the matter covered in UKG; for Class II, it will be the matter covered in Class I; for Class III, it will be the matter covered in Class II, and so on.
• 3. The students should have sufficient knowledge of English to understand the subjects taught, and to speak fluently.

COMMENCEMENT OF CLASSES:

• Std. UKG to Std. VIII
• Monday, March 18, 2025 (Tentatively)
• Orientation of parents of Std. Pre KG and LKG
• Saturday, March 23 rd 2025 (8.30 am to 11.00 am) (Pre KG & LKG)
